New Year's Eve Festivities!

Well, my fear in San Antonio was correct. I was sick and I went down hard in the coming days. The night before New Year's Eve I headed to my favorite neighborhood doctors at Legacy ER and had to get a breathing treatment, steroid shot, inhaler and antibiotic! It's been a long time since I was that sick. So, needless to say, I was struggling on New Year's Eve.

We were invited back to Scott & Karla's house in our neighborhood for a fun family party. This year they made some authentic Mexican food and it was AMAZING! They also had some more Minute to Win It games PLUS a pinata. Could the kids really ask for anything more?

Uh oh! Barely 8:00 p.m. and already naptime?

They don't make those things like they used to. The candy started spilling out after only a few hits. We reloaded it a few time and kept going until the whole thing was smashed. I'm telling you - this is a competitive crew!

Special occasions call for special treats. . . all of the big kids had a Dr. Pepper! What am I going to do when a Dr. Pepper is not the highlight of their life and I cannot bribe them with it anymore?

I made it as long as I could. Will and I finally headed home about 11:40 p.m. so I could get my prescription cough medicine and fall into a drug induced sleep. I rang in the New Year watching Pete Delkus and Dale Hansen yuk it up on Channel 8. Fun times.

In the meantime, there were poppers galore in the Hermanson's front yard and Rob and the girls stayed for awhile.
